sunny days

week two

Posted by Sunny on September 29, 2025 @ 9:53 pm
  • Runs: 3
  • Steps: 76,760
  • Any weight lost? ✅ yes

While I did lose weight this week, it wasn’t as good a number as last week’s. I knew to expect this but I’m still a bit bummed by it.

What I am more bummed about is falling over during this evening’s run. I grazed my knee and elbow and made a complete mess of both my palms. Why do I have to be so clumsy.

breaking habits and forming new ones

People say that it takes x amount of days to form a habit or to break one (x representing the various numbers I’ve heard), but regardless of the exact number, it can be hard! However, I’m finding with a positive and focused mindset, it is definitely a bit easier. I think if I can maintain focused for however amount of days needed to form a habit, then maybe I will adjust fine to this new lifestyle.

I went for four short runs for week one and cut out a lot of junk food items from my diet. It’s been alright so far. I’ve improved my running distance each time. But the food component is definitely going to be more of a challenge. While I went okay for the first week, I know I need to eat a diet that I can sustain.

So! First week check-in:

  • Runs: 4
  • Steps: 66,324
  • Any weight lost? ✅ yes

intro post

Posted by Sunny on September 14, 2025 @ 12:56 pm

Hello there! I’m Sunny and I run this blog. I am hoping to rediscover my love for running and fitness, which in turn will improve my health and general wellbeing. I will be posting to this blog little updates on how I’m going and just anything I feel like might be worth sharing.

Currently I’m the biggest I’ve ever been, so I’d really like to lose some weight. In the past, I’ve had an “all or nothing” mindset which has led to lots of yo-yo like dieting. I am hoping to be more realistic this time around and take it bit by bit. I’m not getting any younger (I’m low 30s, fwiw) so I have to be practical and patient with what I can do/achieve.

I’m looking forward to sharing my goals, achievements, obstacles, and whatever else may be relevant. If you also run a health/fitness blog and want to exchange links, comment or email me! I would love to check it out.
